Jurský Riesling 2021 Ars in Vino
The Jurský Riesling comes from over 50-year-old vineyards located in the hills overlooking the village of Svätý Jur. The wine is golden yellow in colour with the attractive aroma of meadow and linden flowers typical of the Little Carpathians. The taste is full-bodied, fruity, with a long creamy aftertaste in the finish and a distinctive minerality. Maturing on fine lees makes this wine destined for long ageing in the bottle. On the label of this premium wine from the ViaJur workshop, we can see the effigy of the Renaissance Pálffy Manor House, in the courtyard and Pálffy cellars of which the winery is located.

Vinification
Hand-picked grapes were sourced from steeper terraced locations in Svätý Jur. Following pressing, the extracted juice was fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks, 225L, and 500L barrels. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine was transferred from fine lees into a large oak barrel, where it underwent maturation on fine lees for 12 months. The resulting wine embodies a harmonious combination of all types of aging techniques.

Sensory description of the wine:
The typical golden yellow colour with an oily appearance in the glass indicates that it is a serious wine. The scent is full of apricots, linden blossom and there is also a trace of kerosene. The taste is medium full-bodied, pleasant with typical proud Little Carpathian acid. Long persistent aftertaste.
